1. A tree climbing stick comprising:
a frame having a top portion, an opposite bottom portion, a front facing surface extending from said top portion to said bottom portion, a rear facing surface opposite said front facing surface, said rear facing surface extending from said top portion to said bottom portion of said frame;
a first tree engaging structure coupled to said front facing surface of said frame at said top portion of said frame in a fixed position with respect to said frame;
a second tree engaging structure coupled to said front facing surface of said frame at said bottom portion of said frame in a fixed position with respect to said frame;
a first step coupled to said rear facing surface of said frame at said top portion of said frame;
a second step coupled to said rear facing surface of said frame at said bottom portion of said frame; and
an adjustable fastener configured to attach to said frame to a tree; and wherein
said frame is a first, discrete monolithic structure;
said first tree engaging structure is a second, discrete monolithic structure cut from a single piece of solid material;
said second tree engaging structure is a third, discrete monolithic structure cut from a single piece of solid material;
said first step is a fourth, discrete monolithic structure cut from a single piece of solid material and including a first step portion disposed on a first side of said frame and a second step portion disposed on a second side of said frame opposite said first side of said frame; and
said second step is a fifth, discrete monolithic structure cut from a single piece of solid material and including a first step portion disposed on a first side of said frame and a second step portion disposed on a second side of said frame opposite said first side of said frame;
said first step includes a front facing surface;
said front facing surface of said first step defines a channel configured to receive said rear facing surface of said top portion of said frame;
said second step includes a front facing surface;
said front facing surface of said second step defines a channel configured to receive said rear facing surface of said bottom portion of said frame;
said rear facing surface of said frame is seated in said channel of said first step to prevent rotation of said first step with respect to said frame; and
said rear facing surface of said frame is seated in said channel of said second step to prevent rotation of said second step with respect to said frame.
