12. An apparatus for wireless communication at a base station, comprising:
one or more memories; and
one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication that indicates whether a common search space (CSS) is associated with a first type of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a second type of PDCCH, wherein the first type of PDCCH corresponds to a cell-broadcast PDCCH and the second type of PDCCH corresponds to a UE-specific PDCCH, and wherein the CSS is for downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check scrambled by a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), for a group of UEs, that schedules a multicast and broadcast service (MBS); and
transmit, to the UE and based at least in part on the indication, the first type of PDCCH or the second type of PDCCH at a monitoring occasion associated with the CSS.
