1. Computer readable apparatus comprising a non-transitory storage medium, the non-transitory storage medium comprising at least one computer program having a plurality of instructions, the plurality of instructions configured to, when executed on a processing apparatus, cause a computerized wireless access node apparatus to:
determine that one or more radio frequency (RF) carriers require at least one of (i) reclamation or (ii) reassignment;
identify a first wireless sector having the one or more RF carriers then-currently in use by at least one computerized wireless-enabled mobile device;
identify a second wireless sector and a target RF carrier associated therewith;
transmit first data to the at least one computerized wireless-enabled mobile device via use of the one or more RF carriers, the transmitted first data configured to cause the at least one computerized wireless-enabled mobile device to access, via an access protocol, the target RF carrier via the second wireless sector; and
transmit second data to the at least one computerized wireless-enabled mobile device via the target RF carrier, the second data confirming availability of the target RF carrier for use via the second wireless sector.
