receiving, by a processor and from a remote browser associated with a client computing system, a request to launch a web service;

causing, by the processor, the web service to be launched on the remote browser;

detecting, by the processor and from the web service, a security event;

in response to detecting the security event, determining, by the processor, that a security key is to be obtained from a near-field communication (NFC) device connected to a mobile device based on a context of the client computing system;

requesting, by the processor, the security key from the NFC device via the mobile device;

receiving, by the processor, the security key from the NFC device via the mobile device; and

delivering, by the processor, the security key to the web service via the remote browser.
