1. A method of monitoring activities within a structure associated with a vehicle, the method comprising:
monitoring an internal portion of the structure using a camera that has a field of view that includes the internal portion of the structure;
generating, using the camera, image data capturing an object within the field of view;
wherein the object is intended to be placed in the vehicle;
receiving, by processor(s), the image data;
identifying, by the processor(s), an aspect of the object captured in the image data;
identifying, by the processor(s), remaining available space within the vehicle;
comparing, using a computer application, the aspect of the object with the remaining available space within the vehicle;
determining, based on the comparison and using the computer application, whether there is sufficient space in the vehicle for the object or insufficient space in the vehicle for the object;
and either:
updating, by the computer application, an amount of used space within the vehicle to include the aspect of the object if there is sufficient space in the vehicle for the object; or
displaying, on a graphical user interface remote from the camera and using the computer application, an alert indicating that there is insufficient space in the vehicle if there is insufficient space in the vehicle for the object.
