1. A system comprising:
a data-communications server to communicate chat messages among a plurality of disparate chat rooms and to provide data-communications services, including a communication bridging service, to a plurality of endpoint devices, each of the plurality of endpoint devices including communications circuitry and being linked to at least one of a plurality of entities, wherein each of the plurality of disparate chat rooms is associated with one of a plurality of respective communication protocols; and
logic circuitry, communicatively coupled to the data-communications server, to:
form a communication bridge between a first disparate chat room, a second disparate chat room and a third disparate chat room, for transmitting chat messages between the first chat room and the second chat room via the data-communications server;
redirect, in response to a communication from a first participant of the first chat room, the first participant to a specific account provided by the communication bridging service and associated with said at least one of a plurality of entities; and
generate, for transmission of chat messages between the first participant of the first chat room and participants of the respective second and third chat rooms and using the respective communication protocols, a uniform resource locator (URL) for the communication bridge to carry the chat messages for the first participant and the participants of the respective second and third chat rooms.
