1. A method for controlling a power converter controlled by a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control signal, the method including:
(a) generating a current-based voltage proportional to a representative high-frequency filtered current of the power converter, wherein the representative high-frequency filtered current is time-varying and the current-based voltage is only generated in significant amounts when a frequency of the time-varying representative high-frequency filtered current is not filtered out;
(b) generating a comparison signal indicative of a difference between a voltage representative of an output voltage of the power converter and a target voltage;
(c) combining, as a modified comparison signal, (1) the comparison signal and (2) the current-based voltage;
(d) generating a PWM control signal as a function of a combination of a periodic waveform, the current-based voltage, and the comparison signal; and
(e) applying the generated PWM control signal to the power converter.
