1. A method for supplying backup power after failure of a primary power source, comprising:
controlling, by one or more controllers, a first switch to disconnect a first backup power supply from a first transformer and a second switch to disconnect a second backup power supply from a second transformer, wherein the first transformer connects the first backup power supply to a shared power line and wherein the second transformer connects the second backup power supply to the shared power line;
controlling, by the one or more controllers, the first backup power supply to supply power to a first load and the second backup power supply to supply power to a second load;
at a predetermined first time after the first backup power supply begins supplying power to a first load and the second backup power supply begins supplying power to a second load, controlling, by the one or more controllers, the first switch to reconnect the first backup power supply to the first transformer; and
at a predetermined second time later than the first time, controlling, by the one or more controllers, the second switch to reconnect the second backup power supply to the second transformer.
