1. A method for processing coated nickel-containing positive-electrode material of a lithium battery, the method comprising:
separating the coated nickel-containing positive-electrode material from an electrode support by agitating the coated nickel-containing positive-electrode material and the electrode support in an acidic solution comprising a peroxide; and
forming a suspension of the coated nickel-containing positive-electrode material.
