1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
identifying a set of criteria corresponding to an eligibility assessment for an investigatory event;
identifying, for each criterion of the set of criteria, a weight for the criterion, wherein the weight is identified based on whether satisfaction of an inclusion criterion or clearing of an exclusion criterion is required or based on a portion of a population or a particular type of the population for which the criterion is satisfied;
accessing, for a particular entity of a set of entities, an entity data set of the particular entity;
determining, for the particular entity, an entity score that indicates an extent to which the particular entity is eligible to participate in the investigatory event, wherein the entity score is determined based on a first set of values and a second set of values, wherein:
each value of the first set of values is determined based on whether the entity data set includes data that satisfies a corresponding criterion of the set of criteria; and
each value of the second set of values identifies a weight corresponding to a criterion of the set of criteria; and
outputting the entity score,
wherein each value of the first set of values is determined further based on a size factor of the corresponding criterion, wherein the size factor is determined by:
generating a set of eligibility-indicator values for the corresponding criterion, wherein each eligibility-indicator value for the set: (i) corresponds to an entity of the set of entities; and (ii) indicates whether the corresponding criterion is satisfied for the entity;
identifying a subset of the set of entities, wherein each entity of the subset of entities is associated with an eligibility-indicator value that indicates satisfaction of the corresponding criterion; and
determining the size factor based on a count of the subset of entities for the corresponding criterion.
