1. A method for prioritizing video storage resources, comprising:
receiving first video data captured by an image sensor of a camera proximate a first device;
determining, independent of a specific search query directed to the first video data and dependent on analytics applied to a representation of the first video data, a probability that the first video data meets predefined criteria for interesting video data; and
allocating video storage resources for the first video data in an amount that is dependent on the determined probability, wherein allocating video storage resources for the first video data comprises, when the determined probability is high, storing the first video data in a format with a higher resolution than a resolution of a format in which the first video data is stored when the determined probability is low.
