1. A method for treating pain comprising:
a) a subject in need of treatment for pain;
b) administering to said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition selected from the group consisting of a fifteen amino acid peptide having the sequence of X1X2X3X4X5PPSYX8X9VX10X11X12 (SEQ ID NO:114) and a MAGI-1 antisense ribonucleic acid; and
c) reducing said pain of said subject.
