1. An apparatus comprising:
a catheter having a catheter body with a distal end and a proximal end, the catheter defining a conduit;
an inner body configured to be movably disposed within the conduit;
a light emitter disposed on a distal tip of the inner body and configured to emit light; and
a spacing member configured to be disposed distal of the catheter body and transitioned from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration, in the expanded configuration the spacing member configured to (1) have a distal-most end disposable distally of the distal end of the catheter body and the light emitter, and (2) be disposed about the light emitter and to maintain the light emitter approximately centered relative to at least one axis of the spacing member,
the apparatus configured for the distal end of the catheter body to be inserted at least partially into a body lumen or cavity having an interior wall, for the spacing member to be transitioned to the expanded configuration within the body lumen or cavity, and for light to be emitted from the light emitter to illuminate the interior wall of the body lumen or cavity, a diameter of the spacing member in the expanded configuration being equal to or less than an inner dimension of the body lumen or cavity.
