1. A method of assembling a device for delivering a selected number of drug depots, the method comprising:
positioning the selected number of drug depots in a channel of a first plate;
selecting a second plate based on the selected number of drug depots; and
coupling the second plate to the first plate, the second plate comprising:
a first obstruction at least partially obstructing the channel to inhibit one, two, or three drug depots from moving distal to the first obstruction, wherein the first obstruction comprises a ramp and a plateau extending distally from the ramp, wherein the first obstruction is deflectable upon application of a force to the ramp of the first obstruction to allow the selected number of drug depots to advance distal to the first obstruction; and
a second obstruction at least partially obstructing the channel to inhibit the one, two, or three drug depots from moving proximal to the second obstruction, wherein the second obstruction comprises a ramp, wherein the second obstruction is deflectable upon application of a force to the ramp of the second obstruction,
wherein the drug depots comprise clonidine and a biodegradable polymer.
