1. A valve prosthesis comprising:
an expandable annular support structure including:
a proximal frame portion having an inflow end and an outflow end, wherein the inflow end of the proximal frame portion flares radially outward with the proximal frame portion in a radially expanded configuration;
exactly three commissure posts, wherein each of the commissure posts includes:
a proximal end terminating at the outflow end of the inflow frame portion;
an elongated slit extending through the commissure post;
a first edge extending longitudinally;
a second edge extending longitudinally and disposed opposite the elongated slit relative to the first edge;
a first plurality of suture holes extending through the commissure post and disposed between the elongated slit and the first edge; and
a second plurality of suture holes extending through the commissure post and disposed between the elongated slit and the second edge; and
exactly three arms, wherein each arm comprises a first end coupled to a distal end of a first commissure post of the exactly three commissure posts, a first portion extending longitudinally away from and radially outwardly from the first commissure post to an inflection point, and a second portion extending longitudinally away from and radially inward from the inflection point to a second end coupled to a distal end of a second commissure post of the exactly three commissure posts; and
a valve member positioned inside the annular support structure and coupled to the commissure posts.
