11. A tissue clipping device, comprising:
a clip including a capsule and first and second clip arms slidably mounted therein along with a connection member coupled to the first and second clip arms; and
a control wire extending from a proximal end to a distal end removably coupled to the connection member, the control wire being reversibly operable to move the first and second clip arms between an open configuration in which distal ends of the first and second clip arms are separated from one another and a closed configuration in which the distal ends of the first and second clip arms are drawn together to grip tissue located therebetween;
wherein the connection member is configured so that, upon application of a predetermined force to the control wire, the connection member separates from the control wire disengaging the control wire from the clip and permitting a portion of a proximal end of the first clip arm to move radially outward to engage an increased diameter portion of the capsule.
