1. An apparatus for a multilink device (MLD) access point (AP), comprising:
a processor configured to:
transmit, via a first link of multiple links a multilink basic service set (BSS) identification (BSSID), wherein the multilink BSSID identifies an MLD media access control (MAC) address of the MLD AP, and the multilink BSSID remains the same regardless of which link of the multiple links is used for the transmission; and
receive from an MLD station (STA), via one link of the multiple links, a multilink MAC address that identifies the MLD STA, wherein the multilink MAC address remains the same regardless of which link of the multiple links is used for the reception.
