1. A communication apparatus, comprising:
a transceiver, which, in operation, receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) indicating
a frequency range which is included in an unlicensed carrier and applicable for reception to be performed between the communication apparatus and a scheduler, wherein the unlicensed carrier is shared between a first communication system, which includes the communication apparatus and the scheduler, and a second communication system, and the frequency range is currently unused by the second communication system as determined based on a result of clear channel assessment performed by the scheduler; and
a slot format indicating a sequence of symbol types, in compliance with which the reception is to be performed on a plurality of symbols included in a slot, the symbol types including at least one of an uplink symbol type, a downlink symbol type, and a flexible symbol type; and
circuitry, which, in operation,
determines, based on the received PDCCH, the frequency range and the slot format; and
performs the reception on the determined frequency range in compliance with the determined slot format,
wherein the PDCCH includes a first field indicating the frequency range and a second field indicating the slot format,
wherein the first field is a bitmap including a plurality of bits respectively indicating whether or not a plurality of frequency ranges including the frequency range are applicable for the reception, and
wherein the second field indicates the slot format for a number of consecutive slots, and the frequency range indicated by the first field as currently unused by the second communication system based on the result of clear channel assessment is applicable for the reception in the number of consecutive slots.
