1. An apparatus of a base station, the apparatus comprising processing circuitry configured to:
configure transceiver circuitry to transmit a first group of reference signals based on a first non-zero power (NZP)-channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set using a first transmission reception point (TRP);
configure transceiver circuitry to transmit a second group of reference signals based on a second different NZP-CSI-RS resource set using a second TRP, wherein the first group of reference signals are associated with the second group of reference signals as a group pair that is to be transmitted simultaneously; and
decode, based on signals received from a user equipment (UE), an indication that the UE has selected one beam from each group of reference signals in the group pair.
