1. A method of video distribution, the method comprising:
receiving, by a video encoder node, from a first video camera, a first live action video stream;
selecting a first reference video stream, the first reference video stream including different content than the first live action video stream;
encoding each of the first live action video stream and the first reference video stream according to a first set of video encoding parameters to obtain a first encoded first live action video stream and a first encoded first reference video stream;
transmitting, to a video decoder node across a cellular network, the first encoded first live action video stream and the first encoded first reference video stream;
receiving, from the video decoder node, video encoding parameter feedback corresponding to the first reference video stream, wherein the video encoding parameter feedback is generated based on a comparison of a decoded version of the first encoded first reference video stream and a local copy of the first reference video stream;
based on at least the video encoding parameter feedback, setting a second set of video encoding parameters for the first live action video stream;
encoding each of the first live action video stream and the first reference video stream according to the second set of video encoding parameters to obtain a second encoded first live action video stream and a second encoded first reference video stream; and
transmitting, to the video decoder node, the second encoded first live action video stream and the second encoded first reference video stream.
