1. A method, performed by a notification service implemented with machine-readable instructions executed by one or more computer processors, the method comprising:
receiving, from a sender, a notification request including a message text, a recipient address, and response options each paired with an associated set of one or more actions;
mapping the notification request to a notification message comprising the message text and the response options, the response options being selectable;
transmitting the notification message to the recipient address; and
upon receipt of a response message with a selected response option, performing the associated set of one or more actions.
