1. A method for administering games of chance that are based on one or more events at a venue, wherein players of the games are using computing devices to place wagers on the games played, the method comprising:
receiving the wagers from at least a first network and a second network by a totalizer;
allocating a portion of money from the wagers that are received from the first network to a bonus pool based at least in part on source of the games played, amount risked in the games, and riskiness of games and types of games;
allocating bonus currency to a plurality of players associated with wagers that are received from the second network, wherein the bonus currency is usable to play a bonus game, at least part of the bonus pool is winnable from play of the bonus game, and the bonus game is administered as a last of the one or more events held at the venue during a predetermined time period; and
playing the bonus game using a wager of the bonus currency from the plurality of players associated with the wagers from the second network, wherein the wager of the bonus currency identifies a winning condition of a second of the one or more events held at the venue,
wherein the wager of the bonus currency wins the money from the bonus pool if the winning condition occurs in the second of the one or more events,
an amount of the bonus currency allocated to the plurality of players associated with the second network is proportional to a risk type of the wager, the bonus currency is not exchangeable for a monetary value, and
an interest in the bonus pool is distributed (1) in its entirety to the plurality of players who won the bonus game, and (2) as a portion to the plurality of players who won the bonus game, and a remainder portion not won is set to expire after the last of the one or more events, such that the remainder portion of the bonus currency has no value after the last of the one or more events.
