1. An electronic device, comprising:
a host processor; and
program storage coupled to the host processor, wherein the host processor is configured to:
transmit a first brightness signal indicating a first brightness level;
receive an ambient light signal indicating a detected level of ambient light;
determine whether the received ambient light signal is below a threshold; and
when the received ambient light signal is determined to be below the threshold, transmit a second brightness signal indicating a second brightness level greater than the first brightness level based on the received ambient light signal.
