1. An automated shutter control system for use with a video camera, the automated shutter control system comprising:
a shutter;
a shutter motor that moves the shutter;
a power system, comprising:
a power pass-through, comprising:
a socket configured to be connected with a power cable plug of an electronic display;
a plug configured to be connected with an outlet through which power is received for the automated shutter control system and the electronic display; and
power sensing circuitry, comprising:
a circuitry that measures an amount of power being supplied to the electronic display; and
a processing system, comprising one or more processors, that is in communication with the shutter motor and the power sensing circuitry, wherein the processing system is configured to:
based on the amount of power being supplied to the electronic display as measured by the circuitry of the power sensing circuitry, transmit a signal to the shutter motor that causes the shutter to be actuated to an unblocked position or a blocked position.
