1. A lens apparatus comprising:
a first holding member holding one lens unit and configured to be moved in a direction of an optical axis;
a second holding member holding another lens unit and configured to be moved in the direction of the optical axis;
a first detector configured to detect a position of the first holding member;
a second detector configured to detect a position of the second holding member;
a driving unit configured to use electricity to move the second holding member in the direction of the optical axis; and
a controller configured to control the driving unit,
wherein the first holding member is movable manually or by an external driving unit not included in the lens apparatus,
wherein a movable range of the first holding member and a movable range of the second holding member include:
an effective region that is effective for picking up image;
an overlapping region where the movable ranges of the first and second holding members overlap each other in the direction of the optical axis; and
an intermediate region between the effective region and the overlapping region, and
wherein the controller changes a control of the driving unit in the intermediate region based on detection results of the first detector and the second detector to prevent the second holding member from interfering with the first holding member.
