1. A space oven for operation in a micro-gravity environment, comprising:
a chamber that includes a first end opposite a second end along a central axis;
at least one heating rack mounted within the chamber along the central axis;
at least one heating wire, each heating wire fastened to a first plurality of locations surrounding the central axis on the first end and a second plurality of locations surrounding the central axis on the second end, so that each heating wire is fastened to the chamber at locations that alternate between the first end and the second end, such that operating the at least one heating wire in a micro-gravity environment causes heat to be conveyed toward the central axis; and
a heating tray that, in a closed position, defines a hermetically sealed interior, and that is removably mountable in the chamber via the at least one heating rack.
