1. A system for predicting failure of an electric submersible pump system (ESP), the system comprising:
a pulse width modulated adjustable speed drive electrical power supply having at least one electrical conductor power supply conductor for supplying power to an electric submersible pump;
insulation surrounding the power supply conductor;
a high frequency current transformer core placed adjacent to the at least one electrical power supply conductor, wherein the high frequency current transformer core resonates at a frequency of an electromagnetic field emanated the at least one electrical power supply conductor;
an output from the high frequency current transformer core, wherein the output is indicative of a magnitude of the electromagnetic field emanated from the at least one electrical power supply conductor; and
a high frequency current indicator that provides an output from the current transformer core that indicates a magnitude of the electromagnetic field emanated from the electrical conductor for predicting failure of the electric submersible pump system.
