1. A system, comprising:
a well stimulation pump;
a first mover for generating a first mechanical energy from a first fuel or first energy;
a second mover for generating a second mechanical energy from a second fuel or second energy, wherein the second fuel or second energy is a different type of fuel or energy from the first fuel or first energy; and
a controller for directing operation of the first mover and the second mover, wherein both the first mechanical energy and the second mechanical energy are used to drive the well stimulation pump, and wherein the controller is configured to:
determine whether the well stimulation pump is in an active period in which the well stimulation pump is engaged to pump fluid to a wellbore;
determine whether the well stimulation pump is in an inactive period in which the well stimulation pump is not engaged to pump fluid to the wellbore; and
energize the first mover, the second mover, or both depending on whether the well stimulation pump is in the active period or the inactive period.
