A lanyard connector having an anchor connection aperture being elongate along a strain absorbing axis through proximal and distal ends of the lanyard connector, and wherein the anchor connection aperture has an anchor bolt accommodation portion and a curved frail web adjacent to the anchor bolt accommodation portion and across the strain absorbing axis, and wherein the curved frail web is orientated with an apex thereof towards the anchor bolt accommodation portion.
