1. A recombinant nucleic acid molecule, comprising:
a tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR)-domain suppressor of STIMPY (TSS) promoter operably linked to an isopentenyl-transferase 7 (IPT7) coding sequence, wherein the TSS promoter comprises at least 95% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO: 1, and the IPT7 coding sequence encodes a protein comprising at least 85% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO: 4; and
wherein the TSS promoter allows expression of the IPT7 coding sequence in mesophyll cells.
