1. A method, comprising:
identifying a safety event in a surrounding environment of a vehicle, wherein the vehicle comprises one or more color-changing exterior surfaces;
selecting a selected color scheme for the one or more color-changing exterior surfaces of the vehicle in response to the identifying the safety event, wherein the selected color scheme is selected based on (a) type of the safety event, and (b) appearance of the surrounding environment;
modifying, at a first time, one or more of the color-changing exterior surfaces of the vehicle to match the selected color scheme;
determining a location of the vehicle while the one or more color-changing exterior surfaces of the vehicle are modified to match the selected color scheme;
storing the location and the selected color scheme in a storage associated with the vehicle; and
based at least in part on determining the vehicle is at the stored location at a second time:
retrieving the selected color scheme from the storage; and
modifying one or more of the color-changing exterior surfaces of the vehicle to match the selected color scheme retrieved from the storage.
