1. A damping system for suspension of a vehicle, comprising:
a controller configured to:
determine a corner height error based on a difference between an actual corner height and an expected corner height;
apply a filter to the corner height error to generate a filtered corner height error, wherein the filter is based on a speed of the vehicle;
determine a roughness of a ground surface associated with the vehicle based on the filtered corner height error; and
determine a damper setting for the damping system based on the determined roughness.
