1. A method of additively manufacturing a three-dimensional object, the method comprising:
irradiating a first build plane region using a first energy beam defining a beam diameter, the first energy beam travelling along a first oscillating path having a varying first amplitude in a first direction to consolidate a first wall defining a thickness perpendicular to the first direction, wherein a build material adjacent a first side of the first wall and the build material adjacent a second side of the first wall, opposite the first side of the first wall, remains unconsolidated, and
irradiating a second build plane region along a second oscillating path having a varying second amplitude in a second direction opposite the first direction to consolidate the first wall, wherein a portion of the first oscillating path travelling in the first direction overlaps a portion of the second oscillating path travelling in the second direction opposite the first direction,
wherein the first oscillating path includes a plurality of first oscillations that bend around and cross itself and the second oscillating path includes a plurality of second oscillations that bend around and cross itself, and wherein the plurality of first oscillations also bend around and cross the plurality of second oscillations, and
wherein the thickness of the first wall is greater than the beam diameter, wherein the plurality of first oscillations and the plurality of second oscillations overlap in an interlace region, and wherein the varying first amplitude increases in the interlace region and the varying second amplitude increases in the interlace region.
