1. An apparatus for affixing a sensor to a golf club face, comprising:
a first substrate and a second substrate;
a circular wall extending from a front surface of the first substrate, defining a hollow central area of the first substrate;
a magnet disposed in the hollow central area of the first substrate; and
one or more first tabs extending from a back surface of the first substrate, configured to be inserted into and engage with one or more indentations in a front surface of the second substrate; and
one or more second tabs extending from a back surface of the second substrate, each including extensions configured to be inserted into and engage with one or more grooves on the golf club face or with an edge of the golf club face;
wherein the back surface of the second substrate is curved; and
wherein an inner surface of the circular wall is configured to engage with an inertial measurement unit (IMU).
