1. A system for positioning a wearable device for measuring an angle of a joint of a user, the system comprising:
the wearable device;
an alignment device separate from the wearable device and including a first segment and a second segment pivotably coupled to the first segment at a pivot point, wherein each of the first segment and the second segment of the alignment device defines first and second voids, and wherein the first voids of the first segment and the second segment are equidistant from the pivot point and the second voids of the first and second segment are equidistant from the pivot point; and
first and second attachment portions separate from the wearable device and the alignment device and configured to adhesively couple to the user, wherein each of the attachment portions defines at least one alignment hole, wherein each of the attachment portions is configured for securing the wearable device to a corresponding limb portion of the user adjacent to the joint, and wherein the alignment device is configured to facilitate alignment of the first and second attachment portions to the joint,
wherein the first and second voids of each of the first segment and the second segment have a spacing and a size that is commensurate with the at least one alignment hole in a corresponding attachment portion of the first and second attachment portions to facilitate alignment of the first and second attachment portions to the joint,
wherein the wearable device includes
a first hub pivotally coupled to a second hub, a first arm attached to the first hub at a first inner end and defining a first outer end opposite the first inner end, and a second arm attached to the second hub at a second inner end and defining a second outer end opposite the second inner end, and
wherein each of the first and second attachment portions includes a pod configured to be selectively coupled to a corresponding one of the first outer end of the first arm and the second outer end of the second arm.
