1. A light-emitting diode (LED) lighting controller, comprising:
filter circuitry; and
LED lighting control circuitry communicatively coupled to the filter circuitry, the LED lighting control circuitry to:
receive an input that includes a target intensity;
determine a target load current corresponding to the target intensity;
receive an instantaneous current feedback signal and a load voltage signal from an operatively coupled LED drive circuit;
cause the filter circuitry to filter the instantaneous current feedback signal to generate an average current feedback signal;
receive the average current feedback signal;
provide the average current feedback signal to analog control circuitry;
provide the target load current signal to the analog control circuitry;
receive a peak current threshold signal from the analog control circuitry; and
generate a driver signal using the instantaneous current feedback signal, the average current feedback signal, and the load voltage.
