1. A method comprising:
transmitting, by a wireless access network node to a wireless device, an indication of a supported extended emergency information (EEI) type supported by a wireless local area network (WLAN),
wherein the supported EEI type is selected from among a plurality of different EEI types;
receiving, by the wireless access node from the wireless device, a message relating to an emergency call, the message including EEI data according to the supported EEI type; and
receiving, by the wireless access node from the wireless device, the EEI data according to the supported EEI type through an intermediate node that stores the EEI data according to the supported EEI type, wherein the intermediate node comprises an Extended Medium Access Control (E-MAC) database.
