11. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) supporting a 2-step contention free random access (CFRA), the method comprising:
receiving random access channel (RACH) configuration information including CFRA physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource information and at least one CFRA reference signal resource information, wherein the CFRA PUSCH resource information includes at least one PUSCH occasion, and wherein the CFRA reference signal resource information includes one or more of random access preamble index information and PUSCH occasion index information indicating a PUSCH occasion;
selecting a reference signal with reference signal received power (RSRP) above a configured threshold among reference signals;
identifying a physical random access channel (PRACH) occasion corresponding to the selected reference signal;
identifying a PUSCH occasion from among the at least one PUSCH occasion configured in the CFRA PUSCH resource information, according to the PUSCH occasion index information corresponding to the selected reference signal; and
performing a message A transmission based on the identified PRACH occasion and the identified PUSCH occasion.
