1. A mobile device comprising:
a memory storing an application using compute resources when executing; and
a processor configured to:
execute the application;
determine that use of a compute resource of a vehicle is needed to preserve battery power of the mobile device while executing the application;
communicate with the vehicle to determine whether the compute resource is available;
responsive to determining that the compute resource is available, request use of the compute resource;
responsive to the vehicle confirming usability of the compute resource, send data from the application to the vehicle for processing using the compute resource.
