receiving, at a smartwatch, an alert representative of a glucose state of a host-patient coupled to a glucose sensor, the glucose state comprising a glucose value or glucose rate of change value meeting a first criteria;

detecting, at the smartwatch, in response to the alert, a predetermined action indicative of a request to generate a glance view of glucose information associated with the alert;

selecting, at the smartwatch, based on the glucose state represented by the alert, a smartwatch view from two or more smartwatch views associated with two or more different glucose states, wherein the two or more smartwatch views each provide a different set of glucose information elements;

presenting, at the smartwatch, in response to the detecting, the selected smartwatch view as the glance view; and

handing off, by the smartwatch, the glance view to another device to enable presentation of content related to the glance view at the other device, the handing off comprising indicating, to the other device, at least one of:
