1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
identifying, by a computer system comprising one or more computing devices, a first instrumented entity;
discovering, by the computer system, a second entity utilizing information obtained by a monitoring agent associated with the first instrumented entity;
determining, by the computer system, that the second entity is not instrumented based upon the information obtained by the monitoring agent associated with the first instrumented entity; and
instrumenting, by the computer system, the second entity.
