1. A system comprising:
a spatial light modulator having a first pixel group, a second pixel group, a third pixel group, and a fourth pixel group; and
a controller coupled to the spatial light modulator, the controller configured to:
during a first time period, load a first pattern to the first pixel group;
during a second time period:
load a second pattern to the second pixel group;
apply a first reset signal to the first pixel group;
apply a clear signal to the third pixel group, the clear signal configured to instruct the spatial light modulator to clear the third pixel group; and
apply a second reset signal to the third pixel group after sending the clear signal; and
during a third time period:
load a third pattern to the fourth pixel group;
apply a third reset signal to the second pixel group;
apply a third clear signal to the first pixel group; and
apply a fourth reset signal to the first pixel group after applying the third clear signal.
