OG exemplary drawing

1. A smelt shattering apparatus comprising:
a first separable section including an inlet orifice;
a second separable section including a first outlet orifice and a second outlet orifice;
wherein:
the first separable section and the second separable section are secured together at an interface to form a fluidic pathway between the inlet orifice and each of the first outlet orifice and the second outlet orifice; and
a portion of the fluidic pathway in the first section has a larger diameter than a portion of the fluidic pathway in the second section to form a convergence divergence zone located between the inlet orifice and the first outlet orifice comprising an abrupt reduction in the diameter of the fluidic pathway at the interface between the first separable section and the second separable section.

7. A smelt shattering apparatus comprising:
a first section including a single inlet orifice; and
a second section including a first outlet orifice and a second outlet orifice;
wherein the first section and the second section are secured together to define a fluidic pathway between the inlet orifice and each of the first outlet orifice and the second outlet orifice, the fluidic pathway having a first branch connecting the single inlet orifice with the first outlet orifice and a second branch connecting the single inlet orifice with the second outlet orifice, and there being a constriction defined in each of the first branch and the second branch at an interface between the first and second sections.
