1. A method for determining an optimal coagulant dose ([COAG]OPT) of a coagulant for raw water (EB), comprising:
determining, for the raw water (EB), a first organic parameter value (PORG1_EB) of a first organic parameter (POR1), a second mineral parameter value (PMIN2_EB) of a second mineral parameter (PMIN2), a class of water (CLEB), and a third organic parameter value (PORG3_EB) of a third organic parameter (PORG3),
defining a target value (PORG3_ED), for a clarified water, of the third organic parameter (PORG3);
selecting a function (fi) for establishing a relationship between the third organic parameter (PORG3) and a dose of coagulant ([COAG]) added to the raw water, said function being selected for the class of water (CLEB) determined for the raw water and for the third organic parameter value (PORG3_EB), determined for the raw water, of the third organic parameter (PORG3); and
using the function (fi) selected, so as to determine a first dose of coagulant ([COAG1]) corresponding to the target value (PORG3_ED), defined for the clarified water, of the third organic parameter (PORG3),
wherein the first organic parameter (PORG1) relates to dissolved organic matter value for the raw water and provides information on an ability of the raw water to coagulate; wherein the second mineral parameter (PMIN2) relates to the mineral load of the raw water; wherein the class of water (CLEB) for the raw water is determined as a function of the values (PORG1_EB and PMIN2_EB) of the first organic parameter (PORG1) and of the second mineral parameter (PMIN2), the class of water being characterized by a first range of values of the first organic parameter (PORG1) and a second range of values of the second mineral parameter (PMIN2); and wherein the value (PORG3_EB) for the raw water of a third organic parameter (PORG3), provides information on a quantity of dissolved organic matter in the raw water.
