a power converter;
an input power connector configured to be connected to a power source such that the input power connector is arranged between the power converter and the power source;
an output power connector configured to be connected to an electronic device such that the output power connector is arranged between the power converter and the electronic device;
a power control relay including a solenoid and an armature, the power control relay configured such that the armature connects the power converter to the input power connector when current is passed through the solenoid; and
a timer device configured to disconnect the power converter from the input power connector after a predetermined amount of time has elapsed, wherein:
connecting the output power connector to the electronic device causes current to pass through the timer device, and
passing current through the timer device causes current to pass through the solenoid.
