1. A cell stack device comprising:
a cell stack comprising a plurality of cells,
a manifold configured to supply a reaction gas to the plurality of cells, and
a reaction gas supply pipe connected to the manifold,
wherein
the manifold comprises:
an insertion portion configured for connection of the reaction gas supply pipe to the manifold,
a gap between the insertion portion and the reaction gas supply pipe, and
a first joining portion configured to join the insertion portion and the reaction gas supply pipe and seal one end of the gap on an outer side of the manifold; and
in an arbitrarily defined cross-section along an insertion direction of the reaction gas supply pipe,
a length of the gap in the insertion direction is longer than a thickness of the manifold.
