1. A system of controlling a pan and tilt controllable luminaire, comprising:
a controller, remote from the pan and tilt controllable luminaire, the controller having a body that is shaped to mimic a dual axis movable light,
the body being physically movable in pan and tilt directions, where the movements of the body in the pan direction is translated into signals that control moving the pan and tilt controllable luminaire in the pan direction by an amount proportional to an amount of movement of the body in the pan direction, and where the movements of the body in the tilt direction is translated into signals that control moving the pan and tilt controllable luminaire in the tilt direction by an amount proportional to an amount of movement of the body in the tilt direction,
the controller having movement encoding devices that create electrical outputs indicative of the movement of the body of the controller in the pan direction and in the tilt direction,
the controller creating and outputting said electrical outputs to control the pan and tilt controllable luminaire,
the controller receiving video information that shows a field of view which the luminaire is illuminating,
the controller body having a display screen attached to the body, that displays the video information that shows the field of view illuminated by the luminaire,
such that movement of the body of the controller causes a corresponding movement of the pan and tilt controllable luminaire, which causes a different view to be seen on the video information on the display screen.
