1. A method for improving security of an e-commerce computer network using Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and short message service (SMS) protocol, the method comprising:
transmitting a request to perform a transaction that utilizes the e-commerce computer network to a vendor system,
receiving, in response to the transmitting, a message that includes a mailto hyperlink from an e-commerce system, wherein the message is received via SMS and the mailto hyperlink when activated generates an email message that contains a token for the transaction;
transmitting, via SMTP, the email message to the e-commerce system; and
receiving a confirmation that indicates that the transaction has been completed by the vendor system, wherein the transaction is completed based on an email address of a sender of the email message sent to the e-commerce system and the token contained in the email message sent to the e-commerce system,
wherein the transaction is completed by confirming a validity of the email message based on the address of the sender using at least one of DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) or Sender Policy Framework (SPF) protocols.
