1. A method, comprising:
receiving a request for a user equipment (UE) from a network function by a first Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), the first AMF associated with a first gNB to which the UE was previously connected;
sending a paging request, by the first AMF, to the first gNB connected to the first AMF;
determining at least one additional AMF mapped to a same tracking area identity (TAI), wherein the at least one additional AMF includes a second AMF which is associated with a second gNB to which the UE has moved; and
sending, in response to the determining, the paging request to the at least one additional AMF, whereby the paging request is passed to the second gNB and reaches the UE.
