1. A method, in a proxy server, for enabling remote management of a profile in an identity module in a Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IOT) device; wherein the proxy server is configured with access to a database of one or more external identifiers each associated with a respective one of one or more NB-IOT devices; wherein the one or more external identifiers are each used to address the respective one of the one or more NB-IOT devices via an exposure function in a core network; the method comprising:
receiving a request to deliver a triggering message to the NB-IOT device, wherein the request comprises a device identifier of the NB-IOT device;
determining, from the database, an external identifier of the NB-IOT device based on the device identifier of the NB-Iot device; and
transmitting the triggering message along with the external identifier to the exposure function for forwarding to the NB-IOT device using a Non-IP Data Delivery (NIDD) service; wherein the triggering message comprises:
a profile download triggering message configured to trigger the NB-IOT device to download a profile from a profile management server; or
